With deep rooted knowledge in the design, development and operation of transformers, Weidmann is a leading integrated solutions provider for specialized product and services in the energy sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The role\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Principal Engineer provides expert technical guidance to internal and external customers on the application of Weidmann&#8217;s materials and products in transformer insulation designs, in order to achieve our business growth objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How you\u2019ll make an impact\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Advise managers, executives, and global technical teams on technical matters, including key products, projects, and best practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor developments to maintain Weidmann\u2019s leadership.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide technical support and training to engineers, enhancing their capabilities and ensuring industry standards compliance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in industry committees and events to communicate Weidmann\u2019s insulation expertise.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support customer satisfaction through direct technical assistance and collaboration with the commercial team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead and coordinate innovation projects, including new product development, trials, and validation for commercialization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What do you bring\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum of Bachelor\u2019s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prior (minimum 15 years\u2019 experience) working experience in a transformer manufacturing\u00a0 facility, including: transformer electrical design experience, product development or R&amp;D experience, also project management and external customer interaction experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent English proficiency (verbal and written), strong computer (e.g., MS Office, CAD), interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to travel internationally when needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to speak and write in Spanish is preferred but not required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Involvement in IEEE or other industry groups preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What do we offer?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Medical insurance with an accompanying health savings account, vision and dental insurance, PTO starting your FIRST day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>401k plan with company match, Company paid basic life and AD&amp;D insurance, STD and LTD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Annual bonus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monthly $200 stipend for fully remote workers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employee assistance program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employee referral program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional company programs include: Wellness, clothing allowance, computer loan, and tuition reimbursement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We look forward to hearing from you soon!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click apply to submit your application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Weidmann we are committed to equal opportunities and growth for all talents.
