The role…

The Payroll & Benefit Analyst is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing for multi-state payroll processing and the administration of employee benefits. This role assists with data entry, auditing, reporting, and responding to employee inquiries, ensuring compliance with payroll and benefits regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to develop their expertise in payroll and benefits administration.

How you’ll make an impact…

  • Support administration of health, retirement, leave, and other employee benefit programs; assist with open enrollment and benefits communications.
  • Maintain accurate benefit and payroll records; respond to employee inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Assist with multi-state payroll processing, including data entry, timesheet review, deductions, and tax information.
  • Reconcile payroll reports, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for audits, compliance activities, and internal use (e.g., ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA).
  • Serve as back-up to the Payroll Manager during absences to ensure continuity of payroll operations.
  • Maintain HRIS and payroll system data accuracy; support upgrades, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in payroll and benefits administration.

What do you bring…

  • 2+ years of benefits experience strongly preferred.
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field OR no degree with 3–5 years of payroll or benefits experience.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Workday, or similar). Experience with Ceridian Dayforce preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing setting is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of Excel including ability to create VLookUp and pivot tables
  • Basic knowledge of payroll taxes, wage laws, and employee benefits.
