The role…

Ensure the manufacturing of our products according to customer requirements, ensuring that the personnel under supervision are committed to working safely, maintaining quality, meeting delivery schedules, and controlling costs.

How you’ll make an impact…

  • Ensure cost-effective production quality, consistent with strategic objectives, through full use of the Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety management system.
  • Define manufacturing priorities.
  • Work with Customer Service, Quality, Tooling Engineering, and/or Process Engineering to establish effective production processes.
  • Manage unionized production personnel.
  • Address internal and external audits and define action plans.
  • Define action plans for external customer nonconformities.
  • Actively participate in improvement projects, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma teams.
  • Participate in the manufacturing process of new products.
  • Prepare management indicators and reports.
  • Ensure unionized production personnel are evaluated fairly and on time according to procedures.
  • MRP (SAP).
  • Maintain control of production warehouses (SLOCs within SAP).
  • Modify/correct BOMs at the production order level (SAP).
  • Generate purchase requisitions in the SAP system.
  • Participate in the selection and training of unionized personnel and motivate them to perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure the skills matrix is updated for each production department’s unionized personnel.
  • Participate in hazard identification, risk assessment, and control determination, as well as identification of environmental aspects related to workplace activities.
  • Participate in problem analysis.
  • Collect required information for Six Sigma projects and ensure it is objective and timely.
  • Support assigned activities for improvement projects, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma when required.
  • Participate as a training instructor in courses focused on QEH&S awareness.

What do you bring…

  • Engineering degree.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
  • Experience in plastic injection molding.
  • Availability to work rotating 4-on/3-off shifts
  • Skill in the use of measuring and layout instruments.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology.
  • Knowledge and application of statistical tools.
  • Skill in programming and operating injection molding machines and automation equipment.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading.
  • Personnel management skills.
  • SAP system proficiency.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
