The role…

Ensure compliance with quality standards in products, processes, and services through the implementation and monitoring of control methodologies, continuous improvement, and problem analysis. The Quality Coordinator acts as a technical link between production, engineering, customers, and suppliers to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. Support and participate in the development and implementation of the QEH&S Management System (Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety) and develop control methods in the manufacturing of our products

How you’ll make an impact…

  • Work as a team with commitment to comply with the Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety Policy and Objectives of WEIDMANN Electrical Technology of Mexico.
  • Use problem-solving methods to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities related to product, process, and the Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety system.
  • Update key performance indicators (KPIs) of quality processes and lead corrective actions related to indicators that are below target.
  • Attend Shop Floor Management meetings at levels 2 and 3 as required.
  • Support assigned activities for improvement projects, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma when required.
  • Analyze information to identify problems related to product, processes, and the QEH&S system.
  • Follow up on controls implemented for nonconforming products and verify their effectiveness.
  • Lead investigations of customer nonconformities, as well as lead presentations to customers when required.
  • Receive external or internal audits of the QEH&S system.
  • Perform specialized studies when required.
  • Identify and report nonconformities regarding the quality of critical suppliers.
  • Review reports issued by Axion and follow up on them.
  • Review with the production area the results obtained in internal and external rejection indicators to jointly define corrective or preventive actions.
  • Support in controlling the department’s budget.
  • Participate in the identification of hazards and environmental aspects related to workplace activities.
  • Participate as a training instructor in courses focused on QEH&S awareness.
  • Follow and respect procedures, work instructions, and visual aids (Operational Controls).
  • Report abnormal conditions affecting quality, environment, and occupational health and safety.
  • Apply the 5S methodology in the work area and participate as a 5S auditor.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for external and internal rejections, manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure corrective actions are effective and delivered on time.
  • Comply with the internal verification program and calibration of measuring instruments.
  • Purchase measuring instruments in compliance with the assigned budget.
  • Prepare test certificates required by different customers.
  • Release parts in Quality Inspection using the HUMO transaction in SAP.
  • Review the corrective and improvement actions system in Axion software to ensure compliance with committed corrective and preventive actions.

What do you bring…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electronic, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced English
  • Minimum experience: 10 years in quality areas within industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in regulated or certified sectors (automotive, medical, aerospace, food) is desirable.
  • Knowledge and application of quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, quality audits, problem-solving, and ISO standards.
  • Strong knowledge of international quality standards, failure analysis methodologies, measurement systems, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to write technical reports and deliver presentations.
  • Effective communication with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Customers.
  • Ability to clearly document audit findings or failure analysis results.
  • Availability to travel, as required by the company.
  • Possession of a valid visa and passport is desirable.
  • Willingness to visit suppliers, sister plants, customers, or certification audits.
