How you’ll make an impact…

• Create the customer drawings and production drawings for insulation components for   AC and DC power transformer.
• Review/answer/decide for the customer designs adjustment, especially for LE systems   in AC/DC.
• Give technical support/judgements to customer/factories.
• Coordinate/communicate with other WEIDMANN sites for the design issues.
• Take lead for the internal communication related to the design, amongst production, QA, engineering department.
• Able to establish and maintain good working relationships with contractors/clients throughout the life span of a project.
• In charge of coordinating the software and hardware with other ETBA locations (WETAG).
• Key team member to establish design ability in China.
• Applicants should have a thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical   principles of designing high voltage power transformers.
• Gathering original design information, redesigning to modern standards utilizing finite element design programs.

Business Acumen & Expertise

• University/college graduate with at least 8 years working experience in electrical stress calculation, UHV (>750kV AC and DC) transformer design (electrical), related bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• PC skills and business software proficiency. Familiar with CAD, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and standard Windows package software.
• Understanding of product design history and philosophies
• Analytical capacity for creative problem-solving, process design and product application, design and development
• Experienced in both DC and AC, preferably in power transformer insulation design
• Performance management, feedback, encouraging and empathic communication skills, energetic, loyal and stable, experience in an international business environment is preferred record.
• Open-minded, team-building and good interpersonal skills
• Excellent English (level CET 4 or above) and good Mandarin
• Current Shanghai Residents/ willing to relocate to Shanghai
• Willing to travel
