The role…
Responsible for coordinating, supervising, and controlling daily production operations at the plant, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, efficiency, and productivity standards. This role is key to ensuring that processes are carried out in accordance with established procedures, legal regulations, and internal policies, including those related to Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE). Responsible for the development of new projects, as well as the management of the stages for the implementation of process and product transfer projects in accordance with Customer requirements.
How you’ll make an impact…
- Develop detailed project work plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Analyze the technical and economic feasibility of new projects.
- Coordinate the design of technical drawings, engineering specifications, and complementary studies.
- Supervise project implementation in accordance with established plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure proper execution of construction and installation activities.
- Monitor physical and financial project progress, applying corrective actions when necessary.
- Control the quality of materials and work performed during execution.
- Prepare technical progress reports, meeting minutes, and project close-out reports.
- Facilitate communication among the different areas involved in the project (purchasing, maintenance, production, SHE, etc.).
- Participate in internal coordination meetings and meetings with external suppliers.
- Represent the project before management, directors, clients, or any required personnel.
- Review and propose new projects or processes.
- Establish, develop, monitor, and implement projects (timeline).
- Research manufacturing feasibility.
- Review and validate drawings and designs.
- Coordinate and follow up on manufacturing activities inside and outside the plant.
- Determine project capacities and scope.
- Review, evaluate, and manage resources.
- Document the project through final delivery.
- Provide production support with manufacturing activities until project release.
- Serve as the main point of contact during project development.
- Maintain supervision of projects throughout their development.
- Create technical specifications and documentation for processes and products.
- Coordinate qualification and validation phases.
- Represent the company before Customers when they are part of project development.
- Report project progress, quotations, and budget compliance regarding cost, delivery, and quality.
What do you bring…
- Engineering degree (Industrial, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or related field).
- Specialization or diploma in Project Management, PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certifications.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in execution and management of industrial projects.
- Knowledge of APQP methodology (Advanced Product Quality Planning) – 5 Steps:
- Experience using project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Knowledge of technical drawing interpretation.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD software.
- Knowledge of ISO systems: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Knowledge of problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge and application of statistical tools.
- Basic knowledge of SAP systems and/or willingness and ability to learn it.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong technical writing skills, including technical reports, specifications, contracts, and executive reports.
- Negotiation skills with suppliers and internal and external customers.
- Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written) – required due to international contract assignments.
- Availability for occasional travel between plants.
- Schedule flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends, if required by the process.
- Availability to travel, preferably with a valid Visa and Passport.
