The role…

The Senior Accounting Manager will be the leading member of the Weidmann US accounting department; managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting team, ensuring that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.  The Senior Accounting Manager will have a broad understanding of the financial reporting functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, intercompany reconciliation processes, and foreign currency translations.

How you’ll make an impact…

• Plan, coordinate, and participate in all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, regulations, laws, and generally accepted accounting procedures.
• Perform monthly and year-end close processes and reporting under tight deadlines, ensuring the accuracy of the balance sheet accounts.
• Manage and mentor finance team members, fostering a high-performance environment.
• Preparation and coordination of tax provision workpapers and timely filing of corporate consolidated Federal and State income tax returns and related estimated tax payments.
• Overseeing and ensuring compliance with State and local sales and use tax and other annual corporate compliance requirements
• Responsible for insurance and risk management oversight.
• Perform research on complex accounting problems and make recommendations on accounting treatment, including the implementation of new accounting standards.

What do you bring…

• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong general ledger accounting knowledge; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP; familiarity with QlikView is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, excellent verbal, and written communication skills.
