The role…

Supervise, coordinate, and ensure the proper execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities for industrial equipment and facilities,  the plant’s operational continuity under quality, safety, and efficiency standards. Lead the technical team with a focus on continuous improvement, systemic thinking, and solid knowledge of automation systems and PLC controls.

How you’ll make an impact…

  • Ensure the timely identification and correction of safety conditions to maintain safe operations by generating the corresponding work order and performance indicator within the target.
  • Lead root cause investigations into safety incidents or accidents, generate alternatives and robust systems to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage safety and environmental projects that help improve working conditions for production employees.
  • Plan preventive maintenance with production supervisors to ensure proper execution.
  • Develop a preventive maintenance plan in coordination with production to comply with 100% of the plan in a timely manner.
    Manage machinery needs systematically through work orders, ensuring correct prioritization and timely interventions to keep machines available.
  • Generate purchase requests according to operational needs, confirming timely and proper supply to keep operations available.
  • Manage the legal requirements process to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate work with external suppliers through purchasing and the defined scope.
    Ensure the identification of critical spare parts and consumables to maintain a safety stock.
  • Update and ensure the existence of specific LOTO procedures, preventive, predictive, and autonomous maintenance based on operational needs.
  • Use analysis tools to identify RCA and remain within established KPIs.
  • Strong skills in diagnosing electrical, electronic, mechanical, and/or control failures.
  • Support PAA activities to ensure their implementation and goal achievement.
  • Work to protect the environment through established systems.
  • Ensure the completion of operational accountability reports.
  • Document modifications to machinery for improvements, repairs, or any other necessary changes through the systems established at the plant
  • Manage personnel in charge of meeting goals
  • Follow the instructions in the documents related to SACAySST in accordance with the scope of the position and report any act or condition that threatens compliance.

What do you bring…

• Education: Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance.

• Knowledge of project management.

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Proficiency in computer software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project Manager.

• Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 systems.

*Knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing tools for continuous improvement.

• Knowledge and application of statistical tools.

• Strong knowledge of CNC equipment, preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.

• Skill and knowledge in machinery integrations.

• Knowledge of cutting machinery such as automated saws.

• Proficiency in the English language.

• Strong leadership skills.

• Knowledge of maintenance management systems.

• Knowledge of SAP (maintenance transactions).

• Knowledge of reading parts manuals for machinery and facilities.
