The role…

Ensure the standardization, stability, and continuous improvement of current production processes by leading the process engineering team to define, document, implement, and maintain the manufacturing methods, procedures, tools, and instructions required to improve operational efficiency, product quality, environmental sustainability, and personnel safety. This role supports the achievement of productivity, quality, and safety objectives aligned with the site’s operational demand..

How you’ll make an impact…

  • Review and approve all process flow diagrams and FMEA/PFMEA developed by the Engineering team, as well as review and assist in the development of SOPs, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and all documentation related to the Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Management Systems.
  • Lead engineering activities to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities related to the product, process, and the Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety systems.
  • Design, evaluate, and optimize production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Lead continuous improvement, automation, process-scaling, and technology-modernization projects.
  • Analyze process performance indicators (KPIs) and establish corrective and preventive actions.
  • Establish and maintain operational standards and work procedures to ensure consistency in operations.
  • Manage engineering teams and specialists, ensuring their technical and professional development.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) policies and regulations, integrating sustainable and safe practices across all processes, and promoting a preventive culture within the engineering area.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to quality, safety, and environmental systems.
  • Prepare technical and management reports for senior leadership, including strategic recommendations.
  • Lead the process engineering team to maintain documented and controlled operations, including process sheets, work instructions, routing, standard times, and technical specifications.
  • Establish and maintain optimal manufacturing methods by workstation to meet required efficiency levels.
  • Implement and maintain continuous improvement projects (lean manufacturing, line balancing, scrap reduction, setup efficiency).
  • Ensure capacity planning and operational staffing are updated according to demand provided by the production planning department.
  • Provide technical support to the production floor for structured problem-solving, working closely with supervisors, quality, and maintenance.
  • Actively participate in customer audits and certification processes, ensuring compliance with defined process standards.
  • Train and develop the process engineering team to maintain a technical, structured, and results-oriented approach.
  • Promote compliance with 5S and safety standards within the area of influence.
  • Ensure the use of structured problem-solving tools (5 Why, Ishikawa, DMAIC, etc.).
  • Keep the technical documentation system for processes up to date.
  • Track the impact of new cells, tools, or machines on operational performance.
  • Serve as the point of contact with project engineering to ensure proper handoff of new products, processes, or equipment.

What do you bring…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Process, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in process engineering, with at least 3 years in managerial or technical leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, process design, industrial scaling, and quality standards.
  • Technical knowledge of industrial safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations.
  • Experience working with process simulation and modeling software.
  • Proficiency in English—both technical and executive level—for interaction with suppliers, customers, and international corporate teams.
  • Experience with automation technologies and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of statistical tools (DMAIC, Six Sigma).
  • Knowledge in developing process flow diagrams.
  • Experience in developing FMEA/PFMEA.
  • Knowledge of line balancing and calculating required staffing based on customer demand, as well as process automation to improve operational efficiency.
  • Experience in designing manufacturing tooling.
  • Experience with SAP routing and time standards, including validations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and executive.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate high-performance multidisciplinary teams.
  • Skilled in preparing technical reports, test protocols, data analysis, and executive-level presentations.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills with a collaborative approach.
