The role…
Ensure that the accounts payable processes managed in MX and USA are carried out in accordance with established procedures, financial rules (IFRS, NIF), and applicable tax regulations. Work jointly with the General Accountant – Mexico to ensure the correct processing of data for the timely preparation of financial statements, as well as manage the Treasury area of Mexico Finance..
How you’ll make an impact…
- Verify that expenses are correctly reflected in bank accounts and in SAP to identify variances in these items and ensure accurate information in SAP for decision-making.
- Ensure that accounting entries in SAP with suppliers are performed for the various companies of the group under the “Shared Services” area, in order to have accurate and timely information for payment scheduling.
- Ensure the recording of imports and exports in SAP.
- Calculate the cash flow required for weekly operations to cover creditor payments and extraordinary disbursements.
- Perform foreign currency purchase and sale transactions to cover expenses in different currencies.
- Execute the customer factoring process.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Perform reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts, as well as their impact on results — for Mexico and Intercompany Americas.
- Execute the credit card collection process for customers.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and calculate the amount payable/receivable resulting from netting between customer and supplier.
- Record the daily USD/MXN exchange rate in SAP.
- Authorize customs duty payments, ensuring the bank account used for automatic disbursements has sufficient balance.
- Register suppliers’ bank accounts in the bank system and SAP, ensuring proper supporting documentation for the beneficiary.
- Control, administer, and fund the petty cash fund, ensuring all expenses have the necessary support for tax deductibility.
- Perform month-end closing transactions according to the check-list for the group companies under the “Shared Services” area and within the established deadlines.
- Authorized to make electronic transfer payments through national banks in the absence of the Manager.
- Administer the company’s checkbook..
What do you bring…
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting, Finance, or a related field (completed).
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable in Mexico and the United States.
- Experience handling intercompany transactions.
- Proficiency with accounting systems
- Experience in general accounting.
- Experience in accounts payable.
- Advanced English proficiency..
