The role…

Responsible for designing, optimizing, and improving production processes to ensure efficient, safe, cost-effective operations with high-quality standards. Manages activities related to the design and improvement of process engineering activities based on internal customer requirements. Works closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to implement industrial engineering tools and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste, increase productivity, and ensure process standardization..

How you’ll make an impact…

  • Develops capacity studies to create workforce plans and identify process constraints, implementing actions to eliminate or mitigate them.
  • Reviews and validates drawings and current process designs.
  • Develops Flow Charts, FMEAs, Work Instructions, and set-ups.
  • Coordinates and follows up on off-site process activities.
  • Leads and documents projects through completion (SharePoint).
  • Provides production support during process until project release.
  • Acts as the main point of contact during project development.
  • Creates technical specifications and process/product documentation.
  • Coordinates qualification and validation phases.
  • Analyzes and improves production processes to increase efficiency, reduce cycle time, scrap, and costs.
  • Designs and implements production line layouts, workstations, and material flow.
  • Develops and implements work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation.
  • Provides daily technical support to production to resolve operational or technical issues.
  • Participates in the development and launch of new products or production lines.
  • Evaluates equipment capacity, line balancing, and bottleneck analysis.
  • Leads or participates in continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S, SMED, etc.
  • Identifies automation and digitalization opportunities within the plant.
  • Manages capital investment projects for the acquisition of machinery, tooling, or facility improvements.
  • Ensures processes comply with quality standards and applicable regulations.
  • Works with the Quality department to identify and resolve non-conformance issues in processes or products.
  • Collaborates with EHS/Safety in risk assessments related to new installations or process changes.

What do you bring…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, or related field.
  • Specialization or certification in Lean Manufacturing, Automation, or Quality (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or related areas within industrial environments.
  • Proven experience implementing process improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of time and motion studies, ergonomics, workstation design, and layout development.
  • Fluent English (written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Personnel management skills.
  • Knowledge of APQP and automotive systems.
  • Experience developing process flow diagrams.
  • Knowledge of product cost calculation by process.
  • Experience with line balancing and workforce calculation based on customer demand, as well as process automation to improve efficiency.
  • Tooling design for manufacturing.
  • SAP routing and time studies, validations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, engineers, technicians, and management.
  • Strong technical writing skills (reports, presentations, improvement proposals, and process documentation).
  • Ability to lead technical meetings and facilitate cross-functional work sessions.
  • Advanced English (spoken and written).
  • KPI management experience.
  • Availability for occasional national and international travel as required by operational needs.
  • Flexibility to travel or stay temporarily off-site based on business needs.
  • Valid Visa and Passport preferred.
