The role…
Coordinate production planning and scheduling activities to ensure compliance with the manufacturing schedule through effective management of available capacity, materials, and resources.
Maintain effective communication with Production, Purchasing, Materials, and other internal departments, following up on deviations from the plan, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing improvement actions to ensure the continuity and efficiency of the production process.
How you’ll make an impact…
- Coordinate activities related to Production Planning and Control Administration according to customer needs and demand, including the preparation and distribution of production schedules, printing of production orders, and all associated documentation.
- Ensure compliance with established departmental KPIs, including production schedule attainment and production plan adherence, as well as the generation of reports and metrics required to achieve company objectives.
- Work closely with Customer Service to balance workload and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Ensure sufficient inventory levels for the internal allocation and distribution of materials.
- Define and coordinate priorities with the Materials Buyer in a timely manner according to customer demand.
- Analyze and implement actions focused on inventory reduction and optimization of material consumption.
- Follow and comply with established procedures, work instructions, and visual aids (Operational Controls).
- Ensure optimal material consumption by conducting analyses and implementing actions focused on improving company profitability.
- Coordinate activities with Production Planning and Control Engineers regarding BOM changes, routing changes, and data collection for potential system updates to support future requirements and/or new customer needs.
- Ensure the preparation and delivery of workload reports for production areas.
- Coordinate activities among Production, Production Planning and Control, and other related functions to ensure department execution according to internal and external manufacturing priorities.
- Communicate potential delays in customer requirements to Customer Service and provide proposed solutions previously aligned with Production Engineers.
- Ensure the proper allocation and consumption of slow-moving materials in applicable production orders.
What do you bring…
- Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Logistics, or a related technical degree.
- Experience: 5 years in production scheduling, shop floor control, or operational planning.
- Knowledge of ERP systems or detailed scheduling software (MES, APS, etc.).
- Preferred: Ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Leadership and multidisciplinary team management skills.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP, particularly PP, MM, and SD modules.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology.
- Knowledge and application of statistical tools.
- English language proficiency.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work toward goals and objectives.
