The role…
To ensure effective financial management of production operations through strong manufacturing controlling expertise, providing cost transparency, performance analysis, and strategic business partnering with Operations. This role acts as a key financial counterpart to production and plant management, enabling accurate cost control, robust financial planning, and data-driven decision-making to drive efficiency and profitability.
How you’ll make an impact…
Manufacturing / Production Controlling
- Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs, cost of goods sold (COGS), and production
- margins
- Perform variance analyses between actual, budget, and standard costs
- Support and maintain standard costing and product cost calculations
- Identify cost drivers and operational improvement opportunities
- Develop and monitor production KPIs and efficiency metrics
Financial Planning & Reporting
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Prepare monthly performance reports and management presentations
- Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making
- Ensure transparency on cost structures and profitability drivers
Business Partnering
- Act as financial business partner to production, operations, and supply chain
- Close cooperation with the plant manager for plant control
- Support investment evaluations and business cases
- Drive performance improvement initiatives together with operations
Process & Systems Development
- Improve controlling processes, reporting structures, and analytical tools
- Contribute to ERP and BI system improvements
- Support automation and digitalization of financial processes
What do you bring…
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in controlling
- English – professional working proficiency
- Proven experience and track record in manufacturing / production controlling
- Strong background in cost accounting and product costing
- Experience working in industrial manufacturing environments
- Expertise in manufacturing cost controlling, standard costing and product costing
- Strong capabilities in variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP CO or comparable)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with BI and data analysis tools is advantageous
